Cynthia is a multi award-winning CEO, motivational speaker and diversity and inclusion specialist, who is passionate about improving equal opportunities for people from all walks of life by encouraging and motivating the next generation of leaders. She is dedicated to aligning candidates to the right organisations with inclusive cultures that help them to flourish and enhance the businesses they are working for.

In 2015, Cynthia founded BAME Recruitment and Consulting which is a Black female majority-owned business. Then in 2019, Cynthia founded Diversifying.io - a purpose-led careers platform for people to find jobs with employers who are serious about diversity and inclusion, and for employers to showcase their jobs to a diverse community.

​

Cynthia founded both businesses to move the needle faster in driving fairer workplaces and opportunities. Through both brands - BAME Recruitment & Consulting and Diversifying.io - they are committed to creating a fair and just society where everyone has equal access to opportunities. Both companies believe in challenging the status quo to provide inclusive employment processes, which is why they partner with a broad range of companies to provide the tools, insights and audience needed to make real and tangible progress.

 

In addition to creating and running these two amazing businesses, Cynthia is a mentor to young adults via the Stephen Lawrence Trust Mentorship Programme. She is a fellow of St Georges College Leadership Fellowship in Windsor and also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). Cynthia is also Chair of the Board for Pop Up, a social enterprise working in collaboration with educational, literary and cultural organisations to enable children, empower teachers and engage families from all walks of life to read more widely and creatively and also a Trustee for Over the Wall/Serious Fun Children’s Charity.
