Lived Equity Live with Career Ready
As part of the Lived Equity Live Series, we want to give opportunities to amazing charities like Career Ready who are supporting those most in need a platform to get their great work out there!
Career Ready is a social mobility charity that helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds fulfill their potential through experience and understanding of the world of work. They are at the heart of a partnership linking employers and schools/colleges for the benefit of young people. Volunteers from every kind of business deliver their programme activities in classrooms and work spaces across the UK.
We had the pleasure to speak to Anthony Bruton and Rosie Wainwright from Career Ready to hear about the amazing work they do. From the outset it is incredibly clear how passionate and dedicated they both are to their roles, and how rewarding the work that they do is to them!
Anthony Bruton leads Career Ready’s London and South East region which supports 15,000 students each year. Before working at Career Ready, Anthony focused his work in the community, primarily through youth work and the arts.
Rosie Wainwright is a Regional Manager for London and the South East Region, she implements the Career Ready programme across 7 boroughs. Before Career Ready, Rosie worked in outreach within higher education and has experience of working and studying within the legal field.
